Care instructions

Light the tip of the incense, extinguish the flame and allow it to smoulder.

Place the Bamboo Leaf Boat on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface before use.

Keep burning incense away from children, pets, draughts and flammable materials, and never leave it unattended.

Allow the holder and ash to cool completely before cleaning.

Remove ash with a soft, dry cloth. Keep the cast iron holder dry and avoid prolonged moisture to protect the finish and reduce the risk of rust.

Store incense in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.

At a glance

• Three floral moods for winding down: fresh jasmine, powdery violet and restrained magnolia
• Choose a shorter 15–17 minute burn or settle in for around 20–25 minutes
• Cast-iron Bamboo Leaf Boat holder offers two incense positions and stays with you beyond the original scents

This set includes:
- Nippon Kodo Jasmine, Kayuragi Incense, 40 Sticks
- Nippon Kodo Violet, Hana no Hana Incense, 40 Sticks
- Kousaido Magnolia, Ikadenshin Incense, 20 Sticks
- Chushin Kobo Bamboo Leaf Boat Cast Iron Incense Holder, Small

Some evenings call for ten quiet minutes. Others need a little longer before the day feels finished.

This set gives you three floral directions to choose from. Jasmine is fresh and clear; Violet is softer and more powdery, settling into sandalwood and musk; Magnolia is the most restrained, with a shorter 15–17-minute burn when you want a brief pause rather than a long session.

Whichever fragrance you choose, the Bamboo Leaf Boat becomes the familiar part of the routine. Its cast-iron body has two ways to position stick incense, so you can change the angle of the stick and the way the smoke rises. The shallow leaf-shaped form sits beneath it to receive the falling ash.

Finished with baked hon-urushi lacquer, the holder is made to remain after the first 100 incense sticks are gone. Refill it with another favourite and the evening setup continues, while the fragrance can change with the mood.
