Magnolia is one of the flowers in this range that already feels familiar in Britain.

Its large pale blossoms appear in gardens and parks before many surrounding trees have fully leafed out. Kousaido describes its Magnolia fragrance through the dignified character of the flower itself, giving it a refined floral identity rather than a particularly sweet one.

It belongs to Ikadenshin, a collection built around the idea of conveying feeling through flowers. Kousaido looks to each flower’s appearance, fragrance and seasonal character, allowing the bloom itself to lead the scent concept.

Magnolia is the more restrained of the two Ikadenshin fragrances currently selected by iromizu. Compared with Plumeria, it feels more poised and less tropical.

Each box contains 20 sticks and a small aluminium incense holder. Burn time is approximately 15 to 17 minutes per stick.
