This four-piece Yamanaka ware set carries that experience across both bowl and cup. Compared with ceramic or glass, wood transfers heat more slowly, so warm soup, tea or coffee feels gentler to hold, while the pieces themselves remain notably light.

The two Sibo bowls add a tactile contrast. Their Japanese cherry wood is smooth inside, while the coloured exterior uses shibo-urushi, creating a fine, pebbled texture that gives the fingers more purchase around the rounded form.

The two Enuma cups let the natural wood take the lead. Cherry has a quieter, finer grain; zelkova shows stronger flowing lines. Their rounded shape narrows towards the rim, keeping the aroma of tea or coffee close as you drink.
