The Enuma Cup is shaped to make aroma part of the experience.

Its rounded body widens below before drawing in towards the opening, helping keep the fragrance of tea or coffee closer to the rim as you drink.

This version is turned from Japanese cherry wood, or sakura. The grain is fine and understated, with a naturally warm tone that gives it a softer appearance than the more strongly patterned zelkova version. Because every piece comes from natural timber, the grain and colour will vary from cup to cup.

Wood changes how the cup feels in use too. It transfers heat more slowly than ceramic or glass, so a warm drink remains comfortable in the hand, while an iced drink avoids the sharply cold feel of glass.

At 180ml, it is well suited to tea or a shorter coffee, giving the familiar experience of an everyday cup a noticeably different material character.
