Fuji tumbler glass

This Fuji tumbler is part of Tajima Glass 田島硝子’s Mt. Fuji series, made in Tokyo using Edo Glass 江戸硝子 techniques. At the base, a detailed Mt. Fuji motif is formed in solid glass; as you pour in beer, cocktails or soft drinks, the colour reflects off the “mountain”, creating a changing view with each sip. The taller, slimmer form suits highballs, iced tea or sparkling water, while still showing off the sculpted peak clearly. Tajima’s craftsmen mouth‑blow and mould each piece, then polish by hand to bring out crisp edges and clarity in the glass. Subtle differences between tumblers testify to individual making. A striking way to add a bit of iconic landmark scenery to everyday drinks.
