Nousaku 能作 excels in Takaoka Dōki (copper ware), a national traditional craft (METI dento kogeihin). The “Onion 玉ねぎ” wind chime reimagines layered vegetable form in black brass. Sand‑cast and polished in Toyama, it produces warm, resonant tones. Hand‑finished for smooth curves and precise weight, it hangs gracefully with a striker that draws out layered chimes. A playful yet sophisticated update to wind chime, blending everyday motif with metal kōgei 工芸 (traditional craft) skill. The black finish adds depth, making it a striking accent indoors or out.
