Bring indoors during rain, storms or strong winds.

Wipe with a soft cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a soft sponge with mild detergent and dry thoroughly afterwards.

Avoid metal polish, steel wool and abrasive cleaners, particularly on the mirror-finished surface.

Small differences in tone are natural because each chime is individually finished and checked.

The joke only becomes obvious when you look underneath.

The broad brass body takes the form of a UFO, while the hanging strip below shows a tiny figure being drawn upwards towards it. The detail gives the piece personality without turning it into a novelty object, the clean metallic form still feels considered when hanging quietly.

Its curved surface is polished to a mirror finish, catching changing reflections as the chime moves. Gold gives the piece a warmer appearance, while Nickel creates a cooler silver-toned finish.

The sound receives the same attention as the form. The brass body (60% copper, 40% zinc) is sand-cast before being individually refined on a lathe, with the internal components adjusted and each finished chime checked for its tone. Small variations in finishing mean no two pieces sound completely identical.

At approximately 6.8cm across, UFO has a wider, lower silhouette than the other Nousaku wind chimes in the collection, giving it a strong visual presence even when silent.
