Nippon Kodo describes it as a refined, powdery floral fragrance. That powdery quality is the important distinction here: less juicy or sweet than fruit-led incense, and more composed than a bright spring blossom.

It gives the room a recognisably floral presence, making it a better fit for someone who enjoys traditional powdery florals than for someone looking for something extremely light or green.

Like the rest of Kayuragi, the fragrance is paired with vividly coloured packaging inspired by kimono fabric. The sticks have no bamboo core, so there is no burning bamboo scent competing with the fragrance.

The box contains 40 sticks and a mini ceramic incense holder. Each stick burns for approximately 25 minutes.
