Special

At a glance

- A rich, radiant rose with real weight, suited to an evening with guests or a bit of extra warmth
- Woody depth that gives it substance, the boldest of the three Hana-no-Hana florals
- 40 sticks, each burning around 20 minutes, with a gentle lingering scent afterward
- By Nippon Kodo, from the Hana-no-Hana series created in 1911

Rose here doesn't do subtle. It's full and radiant, rich rather than delicate, with a woody depth that gives it real weight, the boldest of the three Hana-no-Hana florals. Light it before guests arrive for dinner, or on an evening that could use a bit more warmth than usual.

The series was created in 1911 by master blender Yujiro Kito, who combined traditional Japanese incense craft with Western floral perfumery, often cited as Japan's first modern perfumed incense. Each stick is designed to leave a gentle nokoriga, a lingering scent, in the room well after it finishes burning.

Each stick burns for around 20 minutes. Forty sticks come in the box.

Light one, and let the room hold onto some of that warmth long after the stick's finished.
