Lily is the freshest of the three Hana no Hana fragrances.

Nippon Kodo builds it around white lily and leafy green notes, giving the floral character a slightly bittersweet freshness rather than straightforward sweetness. Sandalwood and musk sit underneath, adding depth while keeping the overall impression clean and dignified.

Hana no Hana was created in 1911 by incense master Yujiro Kito, who combined Japanese incense making with Western perfumery. More than a century later, the collection remains one of Nippon Kodo’s defining floral ranges.

One of its distinctive qualities is nokoriga, the faint fragrance that remains after the incense has finished burning. Nippon Kodo specifically blends Hana no Hana for greater depth and a longer lingering scent, so the experience continues after the visible smoke has gone.

The box contains 40 sticks, each burning for approximately 20 minutes.
