Hana-no-Hana Lily does its best work quietly: light a stick before guests arrive, or right after tidying a room, and the effect is closer to opening a window than to perfuming the air.

The scent stays close to fresh lily itself, clean and mildly sweet, with an airiness that never turns heavy. It's the lightest of the three Hana-no-Hana florals, built for a subtle presence rather than a statement.

The series was created in 1911 by master blender Yujiro Kito, who combined traditional Japanese incense craft with Western floral perfumery, often cited as Japan's first modern perfumed incense. Each stick is designed to leave a gentle nokoriga (a lingering scent) in the room well after it finishes burning.

Each stick burns for around 20 minutes. Forty sticks come in the box.
