At a glance
• Stepped design lets one cover work across several frying-pan sizes
• Tempered-glass window lets you check cooking without lifting the lid
• Self-standing handle keeps the hot cover upright when removed from the pan
A frying-pan lid normally fits one pan. Kyoto Katsugu designed this one to cover several.
The stepped stainless-steel profile sits across different pan diameters, making it useful in kitchens where more than one frying-pan size is in regular use. The Medium fits pans approximately 20–26cm in diameter, while the Large fits approximately 24–30cm pans.
A tempered-glass window in the centre keeps the food visible while it cooks, so you can check browning, simmering or melting without repeatedly lifting the cover.
The handle solves another everyday problem too. Its frame doubles as a stand, allowing the lid to remain upright when you take it off the pan rather than placing a hot, wet lid flat across the worktop.
The main body combines 18-0 stainless steel with tempered glass, while the handle uses 18-8 stainless steel with a natural wood detail. The cover is also shaped to work with many frying pans that have raised handles, although compatibility will still depend on the individual pan design.
