Lotus is one of the more aromatic florals in Koto no Kou.

Kousaido combines lotus, borneol and bergamot. The lotus gives the fragrance its floral centre, borneol adds a cool, piney and camphor-like quality, and bergamot brings fresh citrus.

The resulting character is deeper and clearer than a soft powdery floral. Kousaido connects the scent with lotus flowers floating on a Japanese garden pond, one of the motifs interpreted through fragrance in the Koto no Kou collection.

Within the range, Lotus sits away from the sweetness of Osmanthus and the warm amber depth of Ancient Capital. It is still floral, but with a cooler aromatic side.

The 30 sticks are stored in a paulownia box, helping keep the short incense sticks together and protected between uses. Each burns for around 15 to 17 minutes.
