A separate incense stand and ash tray become one simple ceramic piece.

Pass the incense through the built-in opening to secure it, then light the tip and allow it to smoulder. The long, narrow dish catches the falling ash underneath, helping keep the surrounding surface clear. When the burning end reaches the opening, it extinguishes there naturally.

The holder works with both shorter and longer stick incense, provided the stick fits securely through the opening. At 15.2cm long, the tray gives a longer stick plenty of room while still keeping the overall footprint narrow enough for a bedside table, desk or shelf.

Made in Arita Ware ceramic, the pale celadon glaze gives the straightforward form a softer presence, making it easy to leave on display between burns rather than treating it as something purely functional.
