Musk, rose and honey create a composed floral fragrance with gentle sweetness and more depth than the fresher scents in the collection. Kousaido describes the blend as calm yet dazzling, giving it warmth and presence without making it excessively heavy.

The name refers to the brief nights of early Japanese summer, when darkness seems to pass quickly before morning returns. The box extends that seasonal story visually with fireworks across a night sky. Summer firework displays, or hanabi, are closely associated with the season in Japan, so the artwork gives “Short Night” a recognisable scene rather than leaving it as an abstract name.

This combination of fragrance and illustration is central to HANGA, which Kousaido created to express seasonal Japanese motifs through both scent and woodblock-style imagery.
