The lattice is orderly without feeling rigid. Because the indigo grid is painted by hand, small differences in line weight and spacing remain visible as the pattern wraps around the bowl.

Like the rest of KOSOMETSUKE, it starts with a white porcelain body developed to recreate the character of early Imari. Gosu pigment and a special glaze give the surface a softer, more varied appearance, with natural differences in colour and glaze expression from piece to piece. A small red accent breaks the blue and white with a warmer note.

Turn the bowl over and another part of the process becomes visible: finger marks left around the foot during glazing are intentionally retained.

At 11.5cm wide and 7cm deep, the form is useful for rice, porridge, yoghurt, small soups or side dishes while remaining comfortable to hold.
