FIORE combines the convenience of an everyday loose-leaf teapot with the character of hand-painted Arita porcelain.

A built-in filter inside the spout keeps the tea leaves in the pot as you pour, so there is no separate infuser to remove or wash. At approximately 450ml, it is an easy size for a small pot of loose-leaf English Breakfast or Earl Grey, while working equally well for green tea and hojicha.

Across the matt porcelain surface, the flower and curling vine are painted by hand in gosu, the deep blue pigment closely associated with Arita porcelain. Variations in the amount of pigment carried by the brush create lighter and darker passages through the design, so each teapot has slightly different movement and colour depth.

The porcelain itself has a lightly tactile finish rather than a completely slick, uniform surface, with subtle iron specks and glaze movement left visible.
