CAFÉ POTTERY pairs hand-painted florals with a rounded, substantial earthenware body and a glaze that naturally flows and varies. In some areas the glaze may thin enough for the darker clay beneath to show through; fine crazing and small iron specks can appear too. These are characteristics of the finish rather than signs of damage.

The form is deliberately versatile. Use it as a rice bowl, for breakfast cereal or porridge, yoghurt and fruit, or in the traditional café au lait bowl style.
