The same ritual, less waste. This ceramic filter replaces the paper entirely; the coffee's natural oils come through, and nothing goes in the bin afterwards.
39Arita is a ceramics brand that works within the Arita-yaki (有田焼) tradition of Saga Prefecture, Japan's oldest and most widely exported porcelain tradition, developed in the early 17th century. The Cera Filter uses Arita porcelain fired to create countless micro-pores just a few microns wide, acting as a reusable filter that needs no paper. The 002 is the smaller size, with a conical form designed to sit neatly inside a standard V60 dripper or directly over a medium-sized cup or server. The micro-pore structure filters fine particles and removes chlorine whilst allowing the aromatic oils that give coffee its character to pass through freely. Suits 1 to 2 cups. Rinse immediately after use; soak occasionally in plain water to refresh the pores. No detergent needed.
