Cera Filter changes both what passes through the filter and what you throw away afterwards.

Instead of paper, the filtering surface is porous Arita ceramic filled with microscopic openings. Coffee passes directly through the ceramic, allowing more of the bean’s natural oils into the cup while trapping fine material that would otherwise muddy the drink. The result is fuller in body than a conventional paper-filtered brew.

The same ceramic can also be used to filter tap water, helping reduce chlorine odour and other unwanted tastes before drinking or brewing. Green tea, black tea and shochu can be filtered in the same way, making this more versatile than a coffee-only accessory.

The 002 replaces the paper filter, not the supporting dripper. Its shape is designed to sit inside a HARIO V60 02 or another suitably sized support, which holds the ceramic safely over the cup or server.

For coffee, medium to coarse grounds are recommended. The filter is reusable, so regular rinsing and occasional deeper cleaning replace the cycle of buying and disposing of paper filters.
