TOKYO ICON was created for Arita porcelain's 400th anniversary in 2016: sixty-nine symbols of the city, from Tokyo Tower to sushi to the beckoning cat, drawn in the continuous style of classical sometsuke blue-and-white. Fired in high-fired Arita porcelain, it is equal parts cultural document and witty, giftable object.
