Postcard, Japanese Breakfast Cats (PPR-188)

At a glance

• A fluffy white cat becomes a bowl of rice in a Japanese breakfast
• Miso soup, chopsticks and a tiny red topping complete the playful scene

A Japanese breakfast with an unexpected addition to the menu.

A fluffy white cat sits in a striped rice bowl, topped with a small red garnish as though it were a serving of rice. Beside it are a bowl of miso soup and chopsticks, completing an otherwise familiar breakfast setting.

The soft watercolour-style illustration gives an ordinary food scene a gentle, slightly absurd twist.
