The NATURE Leaves pattern gets its depth from the way the colour is built, not simply from the drawing itself.

Blue gosu is hand-painted onto the porcelain before glazing and the main firing. The red decoration is added afterwards over the glaze and fired again. Because the two colours sit at different layers of the finished surface, the leaves have a subtle dimensional quality rather than reading as one flat printed pattern.

The design spreads freely around the white porcelain body, with small differences in colour, brushwork and placement expected from one piece to another.

For brewing, the teapot includes a removable metal strainer, so loose leaves can be lifted out once the tea reaches the strength you want. At approximately 500ml, it works naturally for everyday tea for one or two people, whether that is Japanese green tea, hojicha, Earl Grey or another loose-leaf blend.

The same Leaves pattern also runs through NATURE mugs, bowls and plates, making it easy to build a coordinated setting without every piece serving the same purpose.
