Kousaido combines sandalwood with freesia and gardenia, describing the result as cool, fresh and water-like with a softer floral layer underneath. The incense is deep blue, reflecting the clear-flowing river image behind the fragrance.

Within SANSHISUIMEI, Kamo is the easiest comparison point for someone deciding between fresh scents. Saga feels greener and more grassy; Kamo feels more watery, with a gentler flower presence.

The collection itself takes its name from the image of violet mountains and clear running water used to describe Kyoto's landscape. Kamo makes that idea particularly literal: the place, colour and fragrance all point towards flowing water.
