MUSUBI Arita Ware Porcelain Plate Gift Set, 6 Pieces

At a glance

• Six hand-painted knot-shaped plates combine three auspicious meanings in red and blue
• Wishes for lasting relationships, strong bonds, good fortune and health give the set genuine meaning
• Presentation set works naturally for weddings, housewarmings, entertaining and everyday small servings

This six-piece set combines three different knot forms, each carrying a different wish.

From left to right in the photo: Musubi represents a relationship that continues for years. Kichijo Musubi carries wishes for good fortune and good health. Ume Musubi, with its firmly interlocked form, expresses a bond that remains strongly tied.

Each design appears once in red and once in blue. The different silhouettes make the set varied across the table, while the hand-painted linework connects all six pieces visually.

Their compact scale is particularly useful when several dishes need their own place: chocolates and small desserts, olives, nuts, sauces, condiments, appetisers or individual side servings. Put several out together for drinks and nibbles, or use them separately throughout the week.

Presented as a six-piece set, the combination of symbolism and practical use makes it especially suited to weddings, housewarmings and new-home gifts. The meaning belongs to the occasion; the plates remain useful long afterwards.
